Wonder update

Well my friend and neighbor Brig came over and we decided to go play with Wonder!
These are a few pics I took of that ... ( hee hee I have found if you are t he one always holding the camera... you are NOT IN the shots! :oP )

We laughed over this one cause I took it as we were walking up and she is over the small hill and the scale is WAY off cause that feeder is only a foot tall and so it makes Wonder look like a MINI horse!! LOL

As you can see her that is NOT the case! :oP She just loves everyone and is so curious!

This pick she may hate me for..... I had to show her petite rump...... snicker snicker.....

At first glance in this Pic Wonder has a VERY strange shadow... But that is actually Precious one of our Limousin heifers....

Here Precious and Wonder are both trying to get all of Brig's attention...Brig was covered in both cow and horse slobbers before we were done! :o)

Wonder was walking after Sara... one of our dogs....

and getting loves from Brig.....

Below is a silly video I took it was windy that day so there is lots of noise.... And Wonder Chases Sara a bit after trying to steal Brigs cigarette she had yet to light!
I stopped abruptly as Sara, whom Wonder had been chasing ran behind me! OFCOURSE...
And I wanted to be able to distract Wonder from her.... No humans or dogs were injured during the making of this film! LOL

The Lonesome Cowboy Minature Set

This is one of the current sets I am working on...when completed there will be a horse, cowboy and diorama to go with it... :o)
The set is anything but pretty...it is supposed to be a REAL cowboys saddle!! and has been used , abused, and even repaired... it has plenty of scuffs, scratches and battle scars adding to its wonderful patina.... I will post more pics of it when the other parts are completed!!! :o)

The Breast collar

the bridle...

Detail of the pouch on the cantle support.

detail picture showing a repair and some of the "rope burns" caused from working the calves....

Some of our bulls....

I have had several people inquire about our bulls... :o) So I thought I would post a few pictures.....

This is one I call Cupie Doll cause of his hair doo it forms a peak just like the Cupie Dolls! LOL He is busy seeing what books I am bring him to read...:oP ( I borrowed some from mom and was taking them home in a plastic bag...)

This is Bear...an Angus bull we had for many years...we ended up having to sell him because we had kept so many heifers out of him it was not wise to keep him anymore... he got a great home at a ranch down in AR. He is taking snacks from Andy in this pic.

And getting scratches from me in this one! Such a sweety!!

This is Cody feeding some of our yearling bulls this summer...

This is Mr. Universe...a Charolais bull we sold to a ranch across town when we started switching to all Limousin bulls... you can pick up his feet like a horse and even ride him! GENTLE was his middle name!!!

This is a very YOUNG Bull... his first day in this world...his momma did not want to clean him so good so we brought him to the house and gave him a warm bath and played with him for a while then gave him back to momma who was happy to have him back and then proceeded to clean all the human smell off of him! ...HEE HEE And Kitty smell too! :OP
( Bug... THIS would be a lap size bovine!!! LOL )

This is one of our yearling bulls flexing for the camera....

Here is ALER Lord Olympus 024N ( OLY , we call him) and a 500+ lb steer.... looks like they are cruzin for a fight!!! ( My neighbor said it looks like Oly is saying " Ok ,point out the kid that beat ya up...*I'LL* take care of him!" LOL Both are more lovers than fighters!

Here I am scratching Oly's tail... cows and bulls alike LOVE to have their tails scratched!!! And they will start swaying from side to side cause it feels so good... sometimes they darn near fall over!! LOL Which is what Oly almost did soon after hubby took this pic! :O)

Here is hubby ( Andy) scratching the 63 bull... he makes them all look short cause he is well over 6 foot!

Here are some of the yearlings... just hanging out....

CND Martin 083M ... our Limousin Herd bull....

Family update

Well, I wanted to let everyone know that things here at home have taken a dark turn, My mother has be diagnosed with Cancer. For now things are pretty much as they were, BUT if for some reason things should get worse I may not reply to emails as often as usual...
We are unsure of the time frame, but it is not good, and mom does not want any treatments... so things will go as they will...
I will still be around just may be slower than normal to reply!!! and like I said for now everything is still business as usual...

Thanks for all your support!!!

Horse updates!

Well, all the hooved kiddos are doing quite nicely!

Noodle has fully healed from her run in with the barb wire and is getting darker! I am HOPING she will end up a smutty buckskin!

She is growing so wonderfully and such a calm friendly girl!

I hope that the the other Skipper babies will have the same personalities!

Speaking of Skipper... he is done with his first full breeding season and there should be 4 new babies on the ground next year from him!

I just LOVE his tail coloring! :o)

He bred 3 outside mares this year and our own "Dixie" shown in the pic below ( Far right)

Also shown in this picture is Dotty, my bay Tobiano riding mare and Punky, my black gaited riding gelding. Although Dixie is broke to ride , you can see she is a few hands taller than either of the the other two... and me being a whopping 5'3" with my boots on I like a horse to ride that I don't need an elevator to get up on! :oP

But then I go and fib about that too as I did adopt WONDER , my PMU filly....

Who is ½ Percheron, ¼ Clydesdale, and ¼ Paint

Adopted during a major TIBBP adoption of former PMU mares and babies

( for more info on TIBBP,

I must teach her to lay down so I can get on her! In the above pic she and her moo friends are meeting Sara, one of the dogs I foster

( who is available through http://www.gspbr.petfinder.com/ )

Dakota My husbands riding gelding is awaiting his trip to CO for Elk season! :o)

Well I think that about covers everyone! Well for the equines anyway! :oP
